If you’re looking for excellent hotels in Verona, I’d focus on the historic center so you can walk to the Arena, Piazza delle Erbe, Juliet’s House, and the main restaurants. Current hotel/review data highlights several strong options.

My shortlist

• Gabbia D'Oro - A romantic, atmospheric luxury boutique hotel right by Piazza delle Erbe. It’s especially appealing if you want historic character and an intimate feel.
• Hotel Due Torri - Classic five-star option in Piazza Sant'Anastasia, with an excellent location in the old city. It appears consistently among Verona's luxury/historic hotels.
• Hotel NH Collection Palazzo Verona - Polished luxury in the center, combining a historic setting with more contemporary hotel comforts. It currently ranks highly among Verona luxury hotels.
• Vista Verona - A very high-end boutique choice in the historic center, with a particularly strong current guest rating.
• Hotel Accademia - One of the safest choices if location + comfort + value matter more than ultra-luxury. It's right in the historic center and has exceptionally strong guest feedback.
• Hotel Indigo Verona - Grand Hotel Des Arts, an IHG Hotel - A stylish alternative near Piazza Bra and the Arena, particularly good if you like contemporary/art-focused interiors.
• Relais Fra 'Lorenzo - A more secluded luxury experience outside the busiest part of the center, with a pool and views toward Verona.
